Ethics in Business and Finance
In the Ethics in Business and Finance course, students will study ethical concerns and considerations in business and finance. While ethical behavior seems simple, in business, it can become complicated by cultural norms and religious influences.
To illustrate this concept, students will learn about religion as a lens to human behavior and how religion has shaped today’s world and, in turn, modern business practices. With the help of anthropology, psychoanalysis, and religious history, the reasons why man believes in a god are examined. Finally, students will apply religious theory and cultural perspectives back to ethical behavior and decision making in business and finance.
